The Blue Planet II is Soon Heading to the BBC iPlayer in 4k

The Blue Planet II is heading to the BBC iPlayer in glorious 4k definition.

The Blue Planet series has perhaps been on the best nature programs to ever reach TV. Narrated by nature documentary stalwart David Attenborough the series have given us an insight into some of natures most incredible sights.

For many, Google Earth is one of the goto places for browsing planet Earth, even the stars now they added planets. This, however, doesn’t allow us to explore the ocean.

Frankly speaking, it is quite staggering just how little we know about our Oceans. One problem is that its dark down there, making seeing things very difficult. The second is the vast amounts of water pressure which exist at the lowest areas.

The Blue Planet II, however, recently launched giving us a rare insight into some of the depths of the ocean. The series, which specifically dealt with life underwater, gave us some amazing insights into some of the incredible things going on down there.

Making the beautiful look spectacular!

One of the main points of the Blue Planet series has been to blow us away. While The Blue Planet II has been no exception in that regard, things are about to get better.

In a report via the BBC, The Blue Planet II is set to land on the BBC iPlayer and will include full 4k support. This will make the beautiful look spectacular.

This will, in addition, represent the first ever series available on the iPlayer in 4k resolution. I frankly couldn’t have picked a better place for them to start.

Showing us sights that you can barely believe, while the BBC has unfortunately not given us a release date yet, this is definitely something to look forward to.

What do you think? Have you upgraded to 4k yet? Will you be watching The Blue Planet II? – Let us know in the comments!
