Borderlands 2 Xbox 360 and PC Review

This is one of the most, if not “the” most versatile shooter on the market today, with its brightly coloured and highly stylised graphics giving a treat for the eyes. The incredible amount of guns on offer keeping gameplay fresh and interesting throughout. A leveling system that is well balanced and offers plenty of rewards throughout the game. A wide selection of enemies with unique skills to challenge you. A great overall story line that is full of dark comedy. Colourful and creative characters to keep you entertained. Stunning graphics and beautifully realised locations to explore. Four unique character classes at your disposal, the list could go on and on for a long time, I think you get the idea.

Gearbox delivered one promise when they announced Borderlands 2, which was simply “more”. They’ve delivered on this in style, with all the things that made the original so great still in place, but at the same time leaving no stone unturned and every part of the game seeing some kind of minor tweak or major overhaul to compliment the large selection of new features that they have incorporated to this title.

The hype has been building for months with this title, as Gearbox and 2K games released a multitude of trailers, teasers, gameplay videos, playtests and even hit trade shows like iSeries, Gamescom and more to let fans get their hands on the title early. It’s not often a game lives up to the hype but this time it seems the game has exceeded the hype, which is a rare thing.

With 4 DLC packs promised within the next 6 months, new characters coming to the game and who knows what else! it seems Borderlands 2 has only just begun.

If you’re a fan of RPG style FPS gaming, then this is definitely a game you want to check out, just be sure to bring a co-op partner or three into the party to really enjoy what this game has to offer.

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
