Borderlands 3
Did you realise it’s already been five years since Borderlands 2? Crazy right! We know that Gearbox has been working hard on Battleborn, albeit to a fairly mixed reception, but we all know it was a stop gap as they took a short break from Borderlands. During PAX West, Gearbox’s CEO Rando Pitchford dropped the biggest hint to the progression of the game to date. Unfortunately, he didn’t say “Borderlands 3”, hence the “?” in our title, but seriously… we know he was talking about Borderlands 3.

Addressing fan in the crowd, Pitchford said that 90% of the Gearbox is are “working on the thing I think most of you guys want us to be working on.” Furthermore, he said “a product does not exist until it’s announced” while speaking with Dualshockers.
It’s all a bit cloak and daggers until they do announce it, of course, but given how close we are to the holiday season, I wouldn’t expect it this year. With a team of 300 in Texas and 70 more in their new Quebec City studio, Gearbox has a sizable workforce. That’s a lot of man hours per day if 90% of them are focused on their next big project. I can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us!

If it’s Battleborn 2, I swear I’m going to flip my desk and storm out when they announce it… just saying.
