Gearbox has announced that any players of their Borderlands (1) game will get exclusive character customization elements when they load up Borderlands 2 for the first time, where the game will detect their save game.
Returning players will then find them selves kitted out with new character heads, skims and maybe more as part of the package that Gearbox has put in place to cater for long standing fans of the series and of course any people who intend to play the original title before the new game is released.
It has been confirmed from Gearbox that the game will still be out on time for its September 18th release, for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
Now there is also a rumour that Borderlands 2 could also be heading to the PS Vita, although its only a pipe dream as Randy Pitchford from Gearbox stated they are looking into getting an outside development team to work on it, so I wouldn’t expect any game, let alone an official announcement on the Vita edition any time soon.
