Breath of the Wild Hits Native 4K 60FPS in CEMU [Video]

Breath of the Wild

The progress of the CEMU emulator is simply amazing. It seems every week a new benchmark is set, that shows it to be one of the best emulators for PC gamers. Now YouTuber ‘Bradley’ has released a video of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Of course, it’s the fact he’s running at 4K resolution and hitting 60fps that’s so tasty.

How Did He Do That!

Bradley is rocking an unreleased version of Xalphenos’s 60fps patch. Obviously, this increases the performance in a big way, and we can’t wait for a public release. What’s amazing is that even in the demanding large areas, the performance is still glorious.

Frame Rates and Resolutions

Both the Wii U and Switch version of the game run at 30fps. They sure as hell don’t run at 4K. With a few mods and patches already existing for the PC emulator version, it’s PC gamers that get the richest Zelda experience to date. I really hope Nintendo embrace the PC market in the coming years, imagine what they could do if this was official!

Release Date?

Unfortunately, there is no release date just yet, but it looks like things are progressing well. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we got an announcement very soon. There’s a skipping issue with stamina replenishing too quickly, and with paragliding. However, we can’t see those taking long to fix before release.

Video

This is running a currently unreleased beta version of Xalphenos’s 60fps patch, still some bugs to fix. Bad audio is down to encoding error, game runs like normal. Watch in 1440p60 for best quality Running the 4k, high res shadows, contrast and bloom packs. Full pc specs.
