British Gas Are Introducing Remote Thermostat Control Package – Costs £199

British Gas have just launched a nifty innovation in central heating control for their customers. The Hive Active Heating system that British Gas offers to its customers for £199 includes a wireless thermostat with receiver and a hub. British Gas then offers its customers a companion app or online dashboard to use the service.

The service offers customers the ability to manage the temperature of their house on the go. You can create scheduled heating periods, manage your hot water temperature and schedule independent thermostat control. British Gas is letting customers pre-order now but says installations will not start until the end of October – just in time for winter.

British Gas is giving customers a chance to learn more about the system at the official website of the Hive project, here.
