The clover plant traditionally has 3 leaves, and if you find a four leaf clover you are told to expect good luck in your life. One girl in the UK went one step further finding a five leaf clover. Such a phenomenon is very rare indeed and tradition says that a five leaf clover brings you “extra luck” and “money” according to the Daily Mail.
With the five leaf clover preserved and dated it will no doubt be a family talking piece for quite some time to come. However, the five leaf clover is just a mutation of the normal clover plant. In fact greater mutations than four, five, six or even seven can actually occur. Over four years ago a Japanese citizen stumbled across a clover with a staggering 56 leaves attached to a single stem, clearly this one had its fair share of Nuclear waste from one of Japan’s Nuclear Power Plants to assist with the mutation process. We have no idea what 56 leaves on a single clover converts to in “tradition”….world domination maybe?
