Pewter Studios are set to making their gaming debut next month, with the upcoming release of The Little Acre, a point and click adventure that looks set to bring the classic genre back into the world with style. What’s great about this game is that it’s got Charles Cecil on board as Executive Producer, and given his work on Broken Sword, one of the most iconic point and click games ever made, we’re happy to see him at Pewter Studios.
With beautiful Hand-drawn animation, its visual style is certainly familiar to fans of the genre, and with a rather charming 1950s rural Ireland setting, it’s taking full advantage of a location we don’t often see in many games, if any for that matter.
“The Little Acre follows the story of Aidan and his daughter, Lily, set in 1950’s Ireland. After discovering clues as to the whereabouts of his missing father, Aidan begins investigating until he inadvertently finds himself transported to a strange new world. Ever the hero, Lily sets off after him, encountering her own perils along the way. Featuring full voice-acting and hand-drawn animation, The Little Acre is a memorable, lovingly crafted adventure game.”
