Even with rumours AMD are planning to launch in September it would now appear there are more delays on the way. The Bulldozer based Opteron server processors will be released this month but the star of the show, the FX desktop processors, will be delayed now until some time in October.
Apparently, AMD is delaying it so it can have all its models available at the same time to hit as many price points as possible, it will be launching no less than 7 models in October:
So thats three 8 cores, one 6 core and two 4 core processors all to be released next month and then some more variants which are still being developed which will be released a bit later in the first quarter of next year. However, another delay is certainly not going to help the reputation of Bulldozer as many are fed up of the persistent delays .
