It’s true that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was received harshly by the gaming community judging by the millions of dislikes that the game’s reveal trailer has gathered so far, but Call of Duty fans are still looking forward to one particular installment in the series, namely the upcoming Modern Warfare remaster. However, since Infinite Warfare is high on Activision’s priority list, there are not many details available regarding this remaster, apart from a series of screenshots that have recently surfaced online, that is. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is expected to become available later this year, and it will offer gamers the opportunity to enjoy this 2007 game from a modern visual standpoint.
The remaster will include the game’s original campaign mode, but it will offer just 10 multiplayer maps as opposed to the original 16. It’s worth noting that the weapons, movement system, game modes and killstreaks will not be altered in any way. It everything goes according to plan, the remastered version of Modern Warfare will probably be comparable graphics-wise with recent triple A titles, at least judging by the aforementioned screenshots. Speaking of which, even though they’re not high-resolution screenshots, they still show off a rather impressive attention to detail. You can have a look at them yourself below.
