Call of Duty Now Alerts Players When A Cheater Gets The Boot

One of the many satisfying things in gaming is seeing cheaters get what’s coming to them, usually in the form of a ban. Games such as Rainbow Six Siege already have a feature that alerts you when people get banned for cheating and now Call of Duty has introduced this feature with its RICHOCHET anti-cheat.
Call of Duty Cheater Ban Alerts
The Call of Duty Twitter/X account recently announced that from Season 5, the kill feed will notify lobbies when a cheater is removed from the game. This change doesn’t do anything to actually stop or prevent cheating but it is a simple thing that gives a good shot of dopamine when you see it, especially if you just got killed by the player who was hacking and get to see them get banned in real-time.
Cheating in games is an ongoing battle for games developers with the cheaters using constantly evolving methods to get around anti-cheat systems and the developers closing those doors that the cheaters create. More big developers should take a page from Bungie’s book and throw some lawsuits at these cheat developers.
