The previously confirmed but utter unspecified ‘Call of Duty’ game for Vita will be out this autumn.
SCEA’s new SVP of PlayStation brand marketing, Guy Longworth, made the revelation when he told GameTrailers that his teenage sons, being FPS fans, are looking forward to Call of Duty in autumn.
“Of course in the autumn, they’re really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita,” he said, adding, “and we think that’s going to be an absolute game-changer for the platform.”
Longworth wouldn’t be pushed into revealing what the actual title will be, although an autumn launch puts it before the expected November release of this year’s CoD title (heavily rumoured to be Black Ops 2).
That said, it could be either be a portable re-working of a currently released CoD title or an entirely original project.
