Cards Against Humanity Raises Close to $100,000 for “Holiday Hole”

Cards Against Humanity has raised over $95,000 so far to dig a “tremendous” holiday hole. As long as donations keep pouring in, the company will continue digging. Donations on the website holidayhole.com range from $5, $10, $15 and a blank which allowed some people to donate thousands of dollars. Although it seems like this is quite possibly the greatest subversive statement about the needless spending of cash on Black Friday, Cards against Humanity claims that there really is no deeper meaning or purpose to the hole. Citing that that hole is in “America. And in our Hearts” when asked about the location of said hole. The entire event is live-streamed in YouTube.

The company insists that the money is not going to any worthwhile cause or charity and will go directly to their pockets. This is not the first time Cards Against Humanity pulled a “nothing for something” stunt. In 2015, the company raised $71,145 by selling absolutely nothing for $5. They then documented where their employees spent that money including paying off a divorce attorney ($3524), a custom suit of armor ($1500), a Lord of the Rings Legolas Lothlorien Long bow ($800), Bottle of Lagavulin 21 Scotch ($480), and $50 in 1-dollar bills ($50).

Current top donors include OneDollar Bob in Baton Rouge ($1003), BlueDriver.com in Mount Pearl ($1002) and TacticalGear.com in St. Louis($1001). Donations are pouring in at a rate of $0.4 per second. The Cards Against Humanity Holiday Hole is still on-going and users have until 2PM EST/11AM PST Sunday, November 27 to donate at https://holidayhole.com/
