Carrie Fisher Confirms Reunion In Star Wars Episode VII

Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to reunite in Star Wars: Episode VII?

Looks like we will get to see a reunion with Princess Leia, lovable smuggler Han Solo and Jedi Luke Skywalker all set to be in J.J. Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII. Carrie Fisher best known for her role as Princess Leia in Episode IV, V and VI of the Star Wars franchise, has recently told TV Guide that herself, Mark Hamill and Harrsion Ford will begin filming for Episode VII this spring.  When asked about the start of filming Carrie fisher went on to say;

“I’m looking forward to beginning work in March or April, along with Ford and Hamill.” Carrie also went onto say that she’d love to wear the classic Leia hairdo again “Although with white hair, I think it would be funny.”

There has been a lot of rumors and heated discussions on what role the original trio of Han, Luke and Leia will play in J.J. Abrams new movie, with many divided over whether on not they want the movie to be focused around Han, Luke and Leia. It looks like that matter has been all cleared up as screenwriter Michael Arndt, who was originally writing the script has left the film as he wanted the original trio as more of a side story with more focus on the new cast. However now that Michael is no longer involved in the writing of the script, Abrams and screenwriting partner Lawrence Kasdan have heavily revised Arndat’s script to give the original trio a proper send off. With Abrams confirming this week that the script for Episode VII is now complete, it looks like we will get to see the original trio be the stars of this movie as well. The movie has a current release date of December 18th, 2015. What are your thoughts on this, would you like to see the original trio star in the new movie or be pushed to the side so focus can be put into developing the stories of the new characters?
