Are you interested in playing Pokémon Go, but aren’t into all that standing up and walking around? Are you afraid of the continuing Pokégeddon, which has resulted in muggings, road traffic accidents, the discovery of a dead body, a teen hit by a car, and two men falling off a bluff? Then TRNDlabs has a novel solution for you.
TRNDlabs – the self-described “international lifestyle brand” – has developed the Pokédrone, which is a tiny remote-controlled quadcopter designed specifically for playing Pokémon Go. Using Pokédrone, players can use the quadcopter, which has its own camera and GPS system to act as a proxy for your phone, to reach hard-to-access areas to help you catch all them pocket monsters.
“TRNDlabs’ Pokédrone is specially designed for all Pokémon Go players,” the website reads. “Once connected via WiFi to your phone, the Pokémon Go app uses the Pokédrone’s GPS and camera instead of the phone’s GPS and Camera. With the Pokédrone’s auto take-off & land function there is no need to worry about your drone-flying skills. The drone can also hover in one place making it super easy to catch ‘em all for everyone who is more into Pokémon than drones.”
TRNDlabs is yet to announce price or availability, but the company can release the gadget in time to exploit the ever-rising Pokémania it is sure to be a big seller.
