A reader has informed us that developer CCP Games has caused controversy by shutting down development of a fan-made game, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines.
The Icelandic developer famous for Eve Online, sent a cease and desist letter to the developers of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, requesting that they shut down development and cease use of all intellectual property.
Those behind the project have published this post explaining the situation and that development has been cancelled. While many are trying to discern the legal validity of CCP Games’ request, it appears that this long-awaited fan-made title is out of the question, at least for now.
We’ll keep you updated on this story as it develops.
