After delivering expansive post-launch updates for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is shifting focus entirely to new projects. CDPR’s CEO Michał Nowakowski recently shared his excitement over the studio’s upcoming lineup, including a much-anticipated The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris.
Nowakowski expressed high hopes for these projects, revealing that after the successful but rocky journey since The Witcher’s 2007 release, the team is thrilled to show what’s next.
“17 years ago The Witcher 1 rolled out with all of us holding big hopes for it,” Nowakowski said (thanks Gamesradar). “I was there during the launch and I never dreamt where the company will be many years later. Can’t wait to tell you more about what the future holds. When the time is right of course ;)”
New Titles on the Horizon
Currently, CDPR is working on five new titles, with three tied to The Witcher IP, one for Cyberpunk, and a completely original game. The studio’s roadmap includes The Witcher 4: Polaris as its next significant release, followed by Project Sirius, The Witcher Remake, Cyberpunk Orion, and Codename Hadar.
These projects are building significant internal excitement, with early reactions being “very positive,” as Nowakowski described. The CEO assured fans that, despite past setbacks—such as the difficult launch of Cyberpunk 2077—the team’s morale is high.
With these ambitious titles in the works, CDPR is back in the spotlight, especially after the positive reception to recent Cyberpunk 2077 expansions and The Witcher 3 updates. Nowakowski’s enthusiasm reflects a refreshed CDPR, eager to surprise fans and set new standards in the industry.
