CD Projekt Red has revealed that The Witcher 4 is their most advanced upcoming project. Fans shouldn’t expect The Witcher Remake or the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel soon.
During the Flow Games podcast, Pawel Sasko, the director of the Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up, discussed their next titles. He mentioned that most projects are in early production stages. However, The Witcher 4 is the furthest along, but it still won’t be ready for a few years.
The Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is being developed by a new team in Boston, USA, and is known as Project Orion internally. The narrative director called the original Cyberpunk 2077 a “warm-up” for the sequel.
In January, CD Projekt Red announced that The Witcher 4 would begin production this year. They plan to have around 400 people working on it by mid-2024. The Witcher Remake, announced in October 2022, will be released after The Witcher 4.
