CeBIT Daily Roundup #3

Welcome to the round up of the third day of this years CeBIT, the digital industries biggest international event, which plays host to a number of exhibitions, conferences, keynotes, corporate events and more, covering all the latest digital trends, technology, innovations and news.

The event runs from March 6th – 10th, here are the highlights from what we found at the third day of the event.

Antec High Current Pro Platinum 1000W power supply pictured

Antec has been showing off their High Current Pro Platinum 80 PLUS certified power supply at CeBit 2012. The power supply delivers 1000W of continuous power across four 12V Rails. Being 80 PLUS Platinum it means the device will deliver at least: 90% efficiency at 20% load, 94% efficiency at 50% load and 91% efficiency at 100% load.

Shuttle’s XPC Z77R5 barebone on display

Even though not as popular as other manufacturers, Shuttle is still on the market offering its products, today showing off its update line of XPC small form factor barebone PC.

Patriot shows off the Phison-powered Magma SSD

American memory giant Patriot has been showing off a new solid state drive offering at CeBit 2012 this year. The Patriot Magma is a SATA III 2.5″ SSD that will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities.

AMD’s FM2 platform to arrive in June on A85 chipset

Rumour has it that AMD’s next generation of accelerated processing units will be based on an entirely new physical socket known as FM2.

ASRock unveils AMD motherboard with Lucid Virtu

ASRock has already presented wide range of motherboard, HTPC and IPC motherboard series at CeBit 2012. For the AMD section their most innovative motherboard would be the A75 Pro4/MVP. This is the first AMD motherboard supporting Lucid Virtu Universal MVP technology in the world. It allows gamers to take advantage of this new technique and enjoy the amazing performance boost from “HyperFormance” and “Virtual Vsync”.
