Intel is planning to release two new Celerons in Q3 2012. The faster one is set to replace Celeron mobile 867 clocked at 1.3GHz.
First one is called Celeron 877 mobile and it works at 1.4GHz. It has two cores and two threads as well as 2MB of cache memory.
It supports DDR3 1333 memory and Intel HD graphics. HD graphics scales from 350 to 1000 MHz depending what you’re doing. This processor slots in Intel’s ultra-low voltage category and will find its place in entry level notebooks.
The second one to launch is a single core with dual threads Celeron 807. It’s a 1.5GHz CPU that is a 100 MHz faster version of the Celeron 797, which currently rules the market of single core mobile Celerons.
Celeron 807 has two hypertreded cores, naturally no turbo support, and graphics that works between 350MHz and 950MHz. It has 1.5MB cache, DDR 3 1333 support as well as 17W TDP.
Intel took some time to compare the CPUs and claims that Celeron 877 is 47 percent faster in everyday computing than Celeron 807. The company says it is also 54 percent faster in HD content creation and 64 percent faster in creating slide-shows. It is a single versus dual core fight so we are quite sure that you will be able to tell the difference.
Both CPUs come in Q3 2012.
