CES Unveiled Paris – The Next Computer Interface is Voice

The GUI interface is something we’ve all become familiar with in the world of computers, mobile devices, and beyond. However, that trend is slowly turning, as we’re finding our reliance on pushing buttons and looking at a screen is diminishing. At CES Unveiled Paris, they took to the stage to discuss how an increasing number of next-gen devices focus on voice control, rather than traditional controls.

Since 2010, we’ve seen countless devices hit the market, such as wearable tech, mobile devices, and more recently, smart hubs such as Amazon’s Alexa-enabled Echo. It doesn’t seem like this trend is fading either, with Windows 10 now having Cortana, mobiles using Google Now, Siri, and even Facebook is developing an AI assistant that may not be too far from public usage.

While I’m sure you love your touch-screen and even your mouse and keyboard, have you noticed that you rely on them less during the last few years? Are you looking forward to simply asking for what you need and having an AI or automated device take care of the rest? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
