Chart Shows the Largest Tech Companies Linked to Ashley Madison

Ashley Madison, the notoriously popular cheating website, has been in the news a lot recently, mainly because it was targeted by a group of hackers who eventually released large amounts of its user information data. However, even though the hackers have released a lot of information, there’s really no way to tell which pieces are true, especially since it is so easy to submit fake information when creating an account on Ashley Madison. This means that plenty of potential cheaters have used fake emails and fake locations, and some sources state that 99% of the website’s female profiles were actually fake as well.

The problem is that Ashley Madison does not verify the email addresses that are being used to create accounts, which kind of makes sense from a privacy point of view. Data shows that out of the 36.4 million email addresses used, a bit more than 24 million were actually real email accounts. I’m telling you all of this because a chart was recently released that shows off the largest tech companies linked to Ashley Madison. The chart should be analyzed with an open mind, especially since the numbers would probably make sense anyway from a statistical point of view. With over 350,000 employees, IMB was expected to be at the top of the list, while HP with its 300,000 employees was bound to come in second.
