The first two Mafia games were masterpieces, at least in my humble opinion, which is why I certainly hope that Mafia III will live up to its expectations. What we know about this upcoming action-adventure video game is that it is being developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, and that it will become available for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles on October 7, 2016. The action will be set in 1968 in the city of New Bordeaux, and the main character will be an orphan and Vietnam War veteran named Lincoln Clay. From the footage that we’ve seen so far, it’s clear that Mafia III will feature impressive graphics, but game’s storyline and gameplay are arguably even more important, and they will eventually help it stand out or fall flat.
Not too long ago, 2K Games has unveiled a brand new trailer for Mafia III, a trailer that highlights the city of New Bordeaux, which was actually inspired by New Orleans. Apparently, the city is divided into nine districts, and gamers will be able to explore them in full from the very beginning. However, by following the story, players will be able to discover the city gradually while meeting some of its most notorious inhabitants. You can have a look at this trailer below.
