CHERRY, a specialist company behind mechanical key switches, has today launched the new K5V2 keyboard which is the first gaming keyboard to feature their new MX2A switches all within a compact 65% form factor.
The new XTRFY K5V2 is a 65% mechanical keyboard which makes use of CHERRY’s new MX2A Red switches which are a transformative upgrade to the CHERRY MX switches. They use precisely applied premium-grade lubricant and a new innovative spring design to deliver smoother actuation and improved acoustics. The red version in use with this keyboard has a linear characteristic and, thanks to the proven gold crosspoint contacts, offers an enormous durability of more than 100 million actuations without any loss in quality.
The keyboard itself comes in either black or white and features a 65% footprint weighing 841g. It utilises a solid metal plate construction and double layers of sound-absorbing foam offering high rigidity, a high-quality typing feel, and a pleasant sound. It also contains 100% anti-ghosting and a polling rate of 1000 Hz which works alongside Super Scan Technology. This means that all keys are scanned every half a millisecond making this keyboard an ideal tool for gamers, plus it has RGB lighting which gamers love.
