Final Thoughts

Price

Despite the well-respected brand name and the fantastic build quality and flawless performance of these mice, they’re actually quite reasonably priced. Given that we’ve reviewed many gaming mice offering the same features and performance, albeit minus the wireless tech, these mice are excellent value for money. The Cherry MW 2110 is available from Rakuten for £21.07 + shipping and the larger MW 2310 is just £24.60 + shipping.

Overview

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot from these mice, as when I first saw the box I just assumed they were both cheap wireless mice, and while that’s not completely untrue, they both exceeded my own expectations very quickly. The build quality on both mice is an immediate indication that these are quality products, and while they’re mostly constructed from plastic, they’ve both been crafted with care and very nicely designed, giving them a premium look and feel, with build quality that is sure to last a long time.

The switch choices and response are excellent, with a well-defined tactile and audible click that is a lovely match for mechanical keyboard lovers. They’re a little heavier than many of the fast switches in most gaming mice, but these aren’t gaming mice and the feedback and precision they offer is most welcome for a work environment. That being said, the sensors are hardly lacking in excellent performance either, offering perfectly smooth readouts across all three DPI settings and that something we rarely, if ever, see at this price range on any other mouse.

They’re obviously very good value for money and the wireless technology is a huge bonus for a lot of work spaces. The fact that they come with a recess to store the USB dongle makes them practical for travelling and the included batteries, as well as the long battery life, makes them cost-effective too.

Both mice performed perfectly, and while they’re obviously quite different in terms of ergonomics, which one is right for you is really a matter of personal taste. If you need a solid performer that’s compact and easy to travel with, the MW 2110 is easily the way to go. If the bulk of your usage is going to be sitting at a desk and you want a larger ergonomic grip, then the larger MW 2310 is the winner.

Pros

  • Excellent build quality
  • Stylish design
  • Great battery life
  • Batteries included
  • Wireless
  • Plug and play
  • Great sensor performance
  • Competitive price

Cons

  • None

“Cherry may be best known for their keyboards and mechanical switches, but it’s clear that their engineering skills go even further, as the MW 2110 and 2310 are some of nicest day-to-day mice I’ve used in a long time. If you’re not fussed about over the top gaming features, these are everything you’ll need for a very fair price.”
