Cherry is one of the most recognisable names in the keyboard market. Not only do they make some of the best keyboards on the market, they also manufacture the most popular switches. Of course, their Cherry MX switches can be found in keyboards from almost every major brand on the market! Now they’re back again, combining their switches and their lovely designs in the Cherry MX Board 1.0 TKL.
The new keyboards feature a compact TKL design. Often better known as Ten Keys Less, removing the number pad for a more compact design. For those short on desktop space, those who want to free up more space, or just have a more portable keyboard, TKL is the way to go.
The new keyboard comes equipped with a choice of three switch types. Of course, you’ll be able to pick from Cherry MX Red, MX Blue, or MX Brown. Obviously, that’s linear, clicky and tactile respectively.
Equipped with a matte black ABS body, so this keyboard is sure to be durable. It measures 370 x 150 x 25 mm (WxDxH) and weighs just 730g.
This is a simple yet very nice looking keyboard, and it has a nice angular body design that’s sure to compliment your desktop.
Unfortunately, Cherry hasn’t given us the price or release date just yet. However, following this announcement, we’re sure we’ll be seeing it hit the market very soon. We’ll update you as soon as we have any more information.
