Price
Premium grade performance and class-leading build quality were never going to come cheap, and you’ll be £149.99 lighter if you choose to invest in the MX Board 6.0. While that is obviously a lot of money, it’s no more than any other brands flagship mechanical keyboard and while I use the term lightly, the price is competitive.
Overview
I could write up this last page with just one word and call it a day; perfect. There isn’t a single thing I can fault about the latest keyboard from Cherry and that’s obviously a very good thing. Forget all this hype for epilepsy inducing RGB lighting effects, crazy ergonomic features and a multitude of features that you may never use, this is a back to basics simple LED lit keyboard done as well as is technically possible.
The build quality is excellent, I know I’ve said this a lot throughout the review, but it really can’t be stressed enough how good this keyboard looks and feels, and the premium grade aluminium chassis, combined with world-class MX switches and some gorgeous LED lighting all come together quite nicely. Of course, let’s not forget that very nice detachable wrist rest, as that certainly adds to the overall value here.
If you’re looking for a no-nonsence keyboard that’s not just dialed up to 11 to appeal to gamers, then the MX Board 6.0 is as professional as they come. It will still run rings around virtually any keyboard when it comes to gaming, but without the gaming-focused aesthetics that make most keyboards a little too garish to keep in the office or a professional workspace.

“The Cherry MX Board 6.0 shows that you don’t need to have to invest in a gaming-focused keyboard to get premium performance. The build quality and design are flawless and while not cheap, it investment is certainly worthwhile.”
