Cherry MX Board 9.0 Revealed

If there’s one name that always gets our attention in the world of keyboards, it’s Cherry. The legendary manufacturer and creators of the popular Cherry MX mechanical switches has revealed its latest keyboard, the Cherry MX Board 9.0.

The new high-end mechanical gaming keyboard will come packed with the latest Cherry MX RGB switches, with Cherry MX Blue, MX Brown, and MX Red variants being made available.

The keyboard clocks in at 500 mm x 220 mm x 65 mm (LxDxH), and features a slick inward curve to the key layout, making it easier to reach the upper rows of keys on the keyboard. No word on pricing or a release date for this keyboard, but since the MX 6.0 was £149.99 at launch, we would expect this one to be a little more, given that it has a left wing of hot-keys and that large volume control dial in the top corner; you don’t get more features for less money from such a prestigious brand, but if you do, I won’t be complaining.

Check out our review of the Cherry MX 6.0 here, and hopefully we’ll have a review of the new MX 9.0 for you in the near future!

Update: A representative for Cherry reached out to us today (20/10/16) to explain that the lack of pricing information is due to the fact that the keyboard is only going to be available for Chinese markets at this time. It’s unknown if or when this will change, but we’ll update you in the future should the MX 9.0 become available in other markets.
