Cherry Stream 3.0 Low-Profile Keyboard Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Cherry Stream 3.0 Wired USB Keyboard is available from CCL Computers for a very reasonable £19.95, although many retailers have stock, we advise you  shop around as it can vary a bit and there are quite a lot of models available. Cherry offer up quite a few key layouts for different global regions, as well as the black and the pale grey finishes, so you should be able to find the one that’s best suited to your requirements.

Overview

While the Stream 3.0 isn’t about to take on the biggest and best keyboards in the world, it was never really designed to do so. Cherry have their own flagship mechanical, the MX Board 6.0 and it is amazing! However, it’s also £150 and not everyone has the need for such a high-end keyboard. The Stream 3.0 is incredible value for money, and if you’re looking for a reliable and straightforward keyboard for your home computer or your office, then it certainly fits the bill.

The performance is far better than you would expect when you set eyes on it, sure the keyboard still looks like a nice quality product, but it’s even better to type on that you would think. The keys are light, have a low actuation point, a fast return and they’re nice and quiet, making them ideal for those who do extensive amounts of typing.

The durable build quality, the extra-long switch life, the silent performance, spill proof design, and the fact that it’s plug-and-play ready are obviously features that appeal to a lot of people, and for someone who may have to deploy dozens, if not hundreds of keyboards in a professional work environment or office, the Stream 3.0 takes a whole lot of hassle out of the job.

We’ve been working on this keyboard for a few days now and while it may be a bit down to earth, it holds up for working and gaming just fine, making it a fantastic deal for those who want an affordable, no-fuss, easy to use desktop keyboard.

“Equipped to handle demanding workloads while minimising typing fatigue, the Stream 3.0 is the perfect keyboard for a busy environment and a perfect example that affordable doesn’t always mean an inferior product.”
