A Closer Look – Exterior
Power Supply Unit
As we mentioned already this PSU certainly isn’t a looker. It comes with a plain unpainted metal exterior and a simple fan grille for the 120mm fan.
One side has the label on so it can be seen the right way up if you have the fan facing downwards. If you have the fan facing upwards the plain side is visible.
At the cable end everything is still plain, the cables are all tied together with cable ties.
The bottom details the maximum power output of the unit as well as various certifications and other details.
Around the back we find the kettle lead input and a power switch among the mass amount of ventilation.
Cabling
The cables are cheap and cheerful, only the motherboard 24 pin is sleeved for the purposes of holding all 24 cables together in a tube shape, all of the other cables are exposed.
There are dual PCIe 6+2 pin connectors, a CPU 4+4 pin and motherboard 24pin cables.
We also find six SATA, three molex and one floppy. You can find detailed cable lengths here.
