Chieftec Polaris 850W Power Supply Review

Packaging
The front of the packaging goes big and bold with a nice clear image of the power supply front and centre. Unfortunately, in terms of information, it is somewhat lacking, and in fairness, the space could’ve been better utilized to highlight some of the more key points this power supply has. Overall though, it certainly catches your attention.
Sadly, the rear of the box work is, quite frankly, pretty pathetic. Although you are given the technical specifications, the information is small and presented in an exceptionally boring manner. Although it does still tell you pretty much everything you could want to know, there’s very little on offer here regarding salesmanship. Overall, it just makes what’s actually a pretty nice power supply look a little cheap and generic.
Accessories
Being a power supply, you clearly neither wish nor require to have absolutely masses of accessories. What you do get with the Chieftec Polaris is still nice, though. You’re provided with a nice quality glossy product manual, and you’re also given all of your fully modular cables and regional power adaptor with a branded canvas bag. Exceptionally useful if you don’t need all of the cables yet, but might do so in a future build or upgrade!
