Chieftronic NOVA NF-1225RGB (120mm) Fan Review

For those of you unaware, Chieftronic operates as a subsidiary brand to Chieftec, and upon discovering this, we’ve found that many of our fans instantly become a lot more interested in their products. As such, if you’re currently in the market for some new cooling fans, you might want to check out the Chieftronic NOVA NF-1225RGB. 120mm cooling fans featuring some impressive ARGB lighting features!

Chieftronic NOVA NF-1225RGB Fan

Capable of airflow of up to 68 CFM, the Chieftec NOVA NF-1225RGB fan isn’t just a pretty picture with its wide range of ARGB lighting effects. It’s actually a potentially excellent cooling solution that would, in the vast majority of cases, represent an interesting and effective upgrade for your intake, exhaust, or CPU cooler fans with it’s 120mm design.

We should note that, for the sake of clarification, these fans are sold individually (at the time of writing) rather than as a kit. Given that Chieftronic sent us three of them, however, you can be sure that we’ve taken a close look at them both individually and working together!

What Does Chieftronic/Chieftec Have to Say?

“CHIEFTRONIC’s NOVA RGB Fan comes with beautiful A-RGB illumination from a dual-ring design to ensure smooth and full lighting with 16 LED’s on the inner ring as well as 16 more LED’s on the outer ring. Additional frame design elements on the outer ring ensure the Nova fan stands out from the crowd and impress visually.

The single fan comes with 4-PIN PWM connector to power and control the fan speed via the motherboard, as well as a 3-PIN +5V A-RGB connector to allow for control via most mainstream motherboard sync technologies like ASUS™ AURA SYNC, MSI™ MYSTIC LIGHT SYNC, ASROCK™ POLYCHROME SYNC, GIGABYTE™ RGB FUSION.

Translucent fan blades ensure lighting transfers evenly throughout the entire fan, while anti-vibration pads ensure smooth and quiet operation.”
