As noted as one of the key features of the design of the Chieftronic PowerUp GPX-850FC, the fan speed, regardless of the power output, remained notably low (and, by proxy, quiet) throughout our testing process. It does, therefore, ultimately seem that the choice of fan was more than suitable for the Chieftronic PowerUp GPX-850FC. Seemingly operating on something like a 3-tier speed (possibly reflective of something like a 3-pin CPU cooler fan connection) the maximum speed achieved was around 610RPM.
This means that, even with this power supply at full tilt, you should never hear it running, or if you do, only just barely!
