A Closer Look

First impressions of this system are that it’s big and heavy, although that’s no surprise given it’s housed in the chassis equivalent of a tank. The custom designed Fractal Design chassis features some of the thickest panels on the market. However, they also have heavy duty layer of noise dampening material too for added noise suppression.

For the most part, it’s quite similar to their Define series, wit ha few funky graphics and colourful highlights, but the effect is impressive, and the chassis does look fantastic.

The top panel has three removable covers, two are taken off to allow airflow to the AIO CPU cooler. However, the panels and every other screw, wire, and accessory for every component were included in the box, should you ever need them.

One of the nicest additions to this chassis is the slightly raised Fnatic logo on the side panels. It’s hard to see straight on, but when the light catches it from an angle, it looks pretty cool.

Tucked under the front panel, you’ll find more noise dampening materials, air filters, and the 5.25″ drive bays. All fairly standard, but very welcome features.

The system is obviously well equipped, and thanks to the MSI motherboard, you’ll find both LAN and Wi-Fi built-in for added flexibility. Display connections obviously aren’t an issue either, with the MSI GTX 1080 Ti offering up 2 x HDMI, 2 x Dp, and 1 x DVI.

Interior

This may be a bulky chassis, but it’s not going to waste. The interior is packed with high-end hardware, while still leaving just enough room for future upgrades to the storage, PCIe devices, etc.

Powering the system, an 850W 80 Plus Gold PSU, more than the system will need, but it’s good to have room for upgrades, and it’s very efficient too.

The MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti looks great. Of course, you should see an impressive level of performance from any system with this beast installed.

Speaking of beasts, here you’ll find the multitasking monster that is the Ryzen 7. Overclocked to 4 GHz, and water cooled by the popular Corsair H110i.

The system is equipped with 32GB DDR4 2133MHz from G.SKill.

Finally, the back of the system shows the passion that went into building the Fnatic Ultimate. Superb cable management and routing, high-end hardware, and flawless build quality. It looks like it’s worth the asking price, now let’s find out how it performs!
