Power Consumption and Temperatures
Temperatures
Given that the Ryzen 7 1800X does tend to run quite hot, you would expect it to be further up the chart here. However, thanks to the H110i water cooler, its chilling out at just 70c under full load.
CPU
GPU
The same is true for the graphics card, as it comes with the latest high-end MSI cooler design. Thanks to good airflow in the chassis and that powerful cooler, its still one of the coolest 1080 Ti’s we’ve ever tested.
Acoustics
The system was pretty quiet too, with much of that credited to the thick chassis panels and the noise dampening materials. There was a fair bit of wind noise from the H110i, but its indirect and a slight tweak to the fan profile fixed that without causing any issues with cooling performance. Overall, the noise was one of the quieter systems we have tested.
Total system power consumption is fairly high. Again, it’s far under what you would expect given the powerful PSU, but it’s not like any of that power was going to waste given the performance figures.
