Final Thoughts

Pricing

The Chillblast Fnatic Ultimate Ryzen Gaming PC clocks in at £2749.99. That’s a lot of money, but it’s far from overpriced when you look at the specifications. The top Ryzyen 7 CPU, the fastest consumer graphics card, loads of high-performance storage and quality components. These items add up fast, even while building your own system.

Self Built Total = Approximately £2192.46

Building it yourself is little over £500 cheaper, right now that is. However, many of the items here are currently in seasonal sales, and that difference is more like £100 cheaper without current offers. Of course, building yourself doesn’t include that awesome warranty. Of course, it doesn’t include the Fnatic design of the chassis, the overclocking, or take into consideration the build time, or the cost of having the above items shipped. Overall, I think it’s a fair price for the system, but if you dropped the PSU down to a lower output unit, removed the second hard drive, and went for a more affordable cooler, you could order it from Chillblast for a more reasonable price.

Overview

We’ve seen a lot of great systems over the years here at eTeknix, but the latest from Chillblast is by far one of the best we’ve ever seen. Regarding performance, it absolutely decimated the competition, setting many of our highest benchmark scores by quite a significant margin. It’s not a cheap system, but you clearly get a lot in return for your investment.

Gaming

Build as a no-compromise solution for extreme gaming, the Fnatic Ultimate pulls no punches. It set some incredibly high frame rates in every test we threw at it, and it excelled at 1440P and 4K gaming performance. If you’re gaming on high resolution and high-refresh-rate displays, it’s obviously going to deliver the performance you desire. Most importantly, it’ll mean you can push those graphics sliders higher and enjoy all that PC gaming has to offer. Of course, it’ll also be a powerful system for VR gamers too.

Home and Office

A good gaming system generally means a powerful system in every regard. With blazing fast storage performance, and a powerful multi-core CPU, the Ryzen Ultimate system is a powerhouse for day-to-day work at home and in the office. If you’re a content creator, the extra core count is a big advantage. This system will allow you to play the latest games, render videos in 4K, live stream your content, with overlays, and so much more. It’ll also do it pretty darn fast, and will no doubt appeal to the Twitch crowd who need a good all-in-one solution.

Should I Buy One

The Chillblast system may clock in a bit more expensive than self-build. However, I can appreciate paying a little more for a quality product and the time that would save me. Having a pre-built system that comes with an on-site warranty, components that have been professionally matched, sourced, configured, and installed, is a real time saver. If you want insane performance right out of the box, this is where you’ll find it. Add to that the incredible build quality, and flawless installation and cable routing, and you really are getting a good product for your money.

Pros

  • Record breaking gaming performance
  • Decimated the competition for rendering performance
  • Ideal for 4K/HFR/VR gaming
  • Exceptional cooling performance
  • Tank-like build quality
  • Fnatic design
  • Pre-overclocked
  • Fast storage performance
  • Fast M.2 and SSHD combo
  • Room for future expansion
  • Excellent warranty
  • Chillblast is a trusted and respected system builder

Cons

  • Stock fan profiles were a little too high, but easily fixed

Neutral

  • It can be cheaper to build yourself, but you do get a quality product for your investment
