Storage and USB Performance

CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Read

The system’s NVMe boot SSD is a modern marvel and makes traditional SATA devices seem ludicrously slow. Speaking of SATA devices, the Seagate SSHD reported a good read rate but it’s a little slower than I initially hoped for. Nevertheless, the performance is more than good enough to use as a mass storage drive. The USB 3.0 read speeds were another highlight and just fell short of 300MB/s.

CrystalDiskMark – Sequential Write

When it comes to sequential write performance, the SM951 SSD does remarkably well and sets a wonderful benchmark for other systems to try to emulate. The mechanical hard drive write rate was excellent and USB 3.0 numbers are within the top-end range.
