Haswell is Intel’s successor to Ivy Bridge, due out in 2013. It will bring a new CPU socket to the market, LGA 1150 and additionally a new chipset to be known as Lynx Point. The naming that Lynx Point will use will be the 8-series chipset. A lot of new things have emerged and we want to summarise them for you in a clear concise way, many other sites have caused a lot of confusion over the actual features of Lynx Point. Other more general features include, SSD performance/power optimization, new Rapid Storage Technology driver & Intel vPro Technology enhancements, lower TDP and power usage and support for quad-read SPI devices.
