Legendary developer and lead designer for Gears of War Cliff Bleszinski made the announcement earlier this week that he is coming out of retirement, and we now know that he’s doing it to form his own studio called “Boss Key Productions”. Not only is he making a return to games development, but he’ll be doing it along side Guerrilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee.
Brussee was one of the key people behind the awesome Killzone franchise, not forgetting his experience gained at Visceral Games, where he worked on Battlefield 3 End Game and Hardline. Teaming this guy up with the man behind much of the Gears of War series can only mean one thing, one of the most brutal shooters in gaming history could soon be created.
Unfortunately it is unclear what they’re making at this time, but the official website does feature a countdown timer that ends on the 8th of July at 5pm BST. Everything else is a mystery, but something pretty awesome could come out of all this.
