CM Storm Inferno Gaming Mouse Review

Final ThoughtsThere are lots of things I like about this mouse, the 4000 DPI sensor is certainly the biggest benefit, but on top of that it is designed well and the mouse itself is certainly well thought out and thoroughly tested, of course we have come to expect this from CM Storm products. However, I am still not fully convinced by the true functionality and ease of use of the software that comes provided, some of the more serious gamers will probably love it, but if you are a bit more of a casual gamer you may avoid several of the pages. That said, it does give you plenty of options which is always a good thing.
There is certainly a nice balance with this mouse, it moves freely across the surface and has a very nice 4,000 DPI sensor which does make it brilliant for lots of games. Of course using it with a decent mousepad will make this an absolutely stunning mouse to use in terms of performance. The extra few buttons are positioned well and are very easy to press when you are in the middle of a game, and they feel like they are in the right place.
At an impressively low £33.47 on Scan.co.uk or an even better $43.00 on Amazon.com we have to think that this might be one of the best priced gaming mice out there, it certainly offers a lot of bang for your buck and that is probably one of the most important factors currently.
Pros:
- 4,000 DPI gives excellent performance
- Lots of programmable buttons in good places
- Glides freely across a surface
- Good value for money
- Plenty of memory for macros and scripts
Cons:
- Software isn’t that easy to use
- Lighting system isn’t that customisable
