CM Storm Octane Mouse & Keyboard Combo Review

Performance
The LED lighting is really vibrant on the keyboard, giving off a great effect that makes the keyboard really stand out in a dark room.
The mouse has a cool lighting effect on the top, almost looks like the old Transformers logo.
The front of the mouse has an LED lit front, further adding to the already cool design.
The colours on the keyboard are really nice and even in a brighter room they stand out very well.
The sensor performance on the mouse is pretty decent given its price range. There’s very little jitter at higher DPI settings and while there’s the smallest bit of angle snapping/correction visible, it’s unlikely anyone who isn’t a pro gamer would ever notice.
The Octane isn’t designed to blow £100+ keyboard and mice combos out of the water, but it still puts up a respectable fight. The keyboard is packed with gamer-friendly features such as 19-key anti-ghosting, multimedia keys and windows lock. Even cooler is that you can lock the entire keyboard, keeping sticky fingers from using your computer while you’re away from your desk! Membrane switch keyboards may not have the prowess of mechanical, but the Octane is still nice and responsive, with a good tactile bump to the keys that can be compared to MX Brown style switches.
The mouse isn’t the most ergonomic thing ever, but its lightweight design and responsive switches make it enjoyable to use overall.
