CM Storm Quick Fire TK Mechanical Keyboard Review

Today I’ll be taking a look at the Quick Fire TK, the all new mechanical keyboard from CM Storm. CM storm have been in the gaming peripheral business since 2008 and have already had great success with many of their gaming peripherals and gaming computer chassis such as the Trigger Keyboard, QuickFire Pro Keyboard and the Scout II, all of which won awards here on eTeknix. So naturally with all the other CM Storm products we’ve looked at impressing us in one way or another, I have high expectations of the Quick Fire TK, so can I live up to the high standards set by the rest of the CM Storm range?

Even though they’ve been at this for four years, CM Storm are still quite the new comer in terms of gaming peripherals, but that hasn’t stopped them gaining a huge fan base in that time. They’ve worked closely with gaming enthusiasts and the general gaming community for feedback on their range of products and this is something that reflects nicely in their final retail products performance and quality. As many pro gamers and even general casual gamers will tell you, having the right tool for the job really can make all the difference, sure a better keyboard isn’t really going to make you a better gamer over night, but it certainly will go a long way to making it a better and more enjoyable experience.

So lets take a quick look at what features the Quick Fire TK has to offer:

The model I’m taking a look at today is the SGK-4020-GKCR1 (red switch), which features Cherry MX Red Mechanical Keyboard switches. So lets move on and see just what the TK has to offer.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
