The most obvious thing on show here is the finish of the chassis, an extremely well finished gloss white coat has been applied to the chassis, and this is further complimented by high quality white plastics with some of the minor detailing finished in black. It really makes this chassis stand out and offers up a delightfully premium look. Aside from the paint job however the side panel is pretty much indistinguishable from the previous model, this is however just a revision, so all the major aspects remain intact. We still have that same great tinted window and two 120mm fan mounts on the side panel, the panel itself is held in place by a pair of quick release thumb screws.
The top of the chassis features a clip in air/dust filter that should help provide clean airflow for any top mounted fans and/or radiators. The superbly convenient carry handle is now been further reinforced, and it is also coated in a durable rubber that makes it more comfortable to hold should you be lugging your system around a lot.
The front panel features a nicely slide back panel that disappears into the chassis body, underneath this panel you will find your 3.5mm jack sockets, 2 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 2.0.
The front panel features 3 x 5.25″ drive bays with reusable ventilated covers, the rest of the mesh is also ventilated and this provides airflow for any front mounted cooling solutions. The Scout II Adv comes pre-fitted with a pair of high quality red LED 120mm fans on the front of the system, which should provide a system of this size with more than enough airflow.
The right side panel features a good size recess that will aid with cable management, effective increasing the amount of space you have to “cram” your cables behind the motherboard. This panel is also held in place with a pair of quick release thumb screws.
Around the back of the chassis we have two water/cable routing cut-outs that are each fitted with rubber grommets, a pre-installed 120mm exhaust fan, 7+1 expansion bays each fitted with reusable covers and a bottom PSU mounting area.
Another upgrade to the Scout II are its air filters, and it now features two slide out dust filters on the bottom of the chassis, one for your PSU and one for the base fan mount (optional). While this does make for easier maintenance it will still require you to essentially tip-up your PC to get access to the filters.
