CM Storm’s latest upcoming case has been pictured by TechPowerUp. The CM Storm Scout II, successor to the Scout I, is continuing the theme of LAN portability but with the feature set for a high end rig. The core principle of portability is maintained through the solid handles present at the top of the case.
The CM Storm Scout II will have internal features that make things more shock resistant, we’re thinking reinforcing mechanisms to keep the CPU cooler sturdy, the graphics card straight and so on. Those reinforcing mechanisms will probably be attached to the main structure of the case for the best stability.
The CM Storm Scout II will take the standard form factor of an ATX supporting mid tower. There is support for extra long graphics cards, like the GTX 690, Gigabyte GTX 680 SOC, Sapphire Toxic HD 7970 6GB and HD 7990 (if it ever materialises). As expected it features a side window so you can show off your rig at LAN events, The teaser pictures reveal the case to be heavily ventilated, with large cutouts for water-cooling plumbing. The case will be officially launched towards end of September.
