PerformanceSo, we have concluded that the Z3RO-G is feature packed and means serious business, but does it really deliver?
Performance-wise: yes. The Sentinel Z3RO-G really performed with it’s high DPI sensor, and the on-the-fly adjustments proved invaluable for gaming. It was also a pleasure to use on precision programs such as Photoshop where I could just lower the DPI when trying to mask out a complicated edge of a subject, and when I reached the end of the mousemat, I could pick the mouse up and reset it without the cursor going everywhere! The side buttons could have been placed a little better for ease but it is easy to get used to if you play with it a while. It really was a pleasure to use and I would strongly recommend it to any gamer or, in fact, anyone that requires the ability to adjust key settings without interrupting the task they are doing.
When it comes to looks the Sentinal really doesn’t compromise, the shape and form of the mouse gives it an aggressive and competitive edge that really demonstrates the product’s aptitude to competitive gaming.
It is hard to comment on comfort as what makes a comfortable mouse may vary from user to user, so I will do my best to describe it rather than just say it’s comfortable’ or it’s not’. The mouse has a higher profile than most other mice which makes it easier for those with a claw grip and big hands to keep their entire hand on the mouse. For a person with big hands, even I found that the mouse was maybe a little too high which left a lack of wrist support when using the palm grip. So this really is a mouse for those with large hands and a claw or fingertip grip, using a palm grip on this mouse is far more fatiguing than it is on similar mice. However, the adjustability of weight is a really useful feature that gives you even more customisation on how you like your mouse.
