Motherboard and video card manufacturer Colorful is introducing the iGame Z270I-WF GAMING mini-ITX motherboard to their lineup. Since it is using a mini-ITX form factor it is limited to two DDR4 DIMM slots and a single PCIe x16 3.0 slot. However, it is not lacking in features with an on-board 802.11ac function, dual Gigabit LAN and M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 support. It supports 95W Intel 6th and 7th gen processors and has a 6-phase VRM.
The compact motherboard is made for gamers so it sports other enhancements other than the Z270 standard. It has Realtek ALC1150 8-channel HD audio with special electrolytic audio capacitors, and USB ports optimized for gaming. Due to the limited space, the M.2 NVMe slot is located at the back. The other M.2 slot for the Wi-Fi card is right underneath the CPU socket instead. With the Z270 chipset, users are free to overclock their Intel “K” processors and overclock the memory. This should also allow for additional performance allowance beyond stock.
Colorful motherboards are available in Asian markets but it can be purchased in several online stores such as Alibaba for example. Its retail price is the equivalent of $189 USD.
