Colorful Unveils iGame Z790D5 Vulcan Series Motherboards

Colorful Technology has launched its latest high-end motherboards, the iGame Z790D5 Vulcan W and Z790D5 Vulcan X, designed for gamers and content creators. First showcased at COMPUTEX 2024, these motherboards come in black and white variants and feature cutting-edge technology such as USB4 40Gbps and Wi-Fi 7. The boards promise stable overclocking and support for Intel’s 12th, 13th, and 14th-generation CPUs, making them a robust choice for high-performance setups.

Advanced Features and High-Speed Connectivity

The iGame Z790D5 Vulcan motherboards are built with a 19+1+1 power phase design featuring DrMos 105A power stages, which Colorful claims will deliver exceptional power for Intel’s Core i9 series processors. These motherboards are also equipped with alloy-reinforced DDR5 DIMM slots that support memory speeds up to 7800 MHz (OC). For extreme overclocking enthusiasts, the boards include a dedicated LN2 mode, designed to push the hardware to its limits.

Storage is also a highlight of these new motherboards. They come with four M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs, two of which support the PCIe 5.0 x4 interface, ensuring rapid data transfer rates and efficient cooling with large fin-stack heatsinks. Additional storage options include six SATA 3 connectors, allowing for flexible hard drive configurations.

The rear I/O panel of the iGame Z790D5 Vulcan series is built for versatility and speed. It includes dual USB 4 Type-C ports, compatible with Thunderbolt technology, enabling users to connect multiple high-speed peripherals and displays. The inclusion of dual LAN ports (2.5G and 5G) and the latest Wi-Fi 7 ensures seamless and fast network connectivity, a feature that will benefit gamers and professionals alike.

Colorful also emphasizes customization with these motherboards. The Vulcan branding on the rear I/O cover features RGB lighting, fully customizable through the iGame Center app. This allows users to personalize their setup according to their preferences.
