Commandos: Origins Launching on PC Next Month

Are you a fan of the classic PC game Commandos? I know I am, albeit a “fan” who hasn’t played it in about two decades. Well, if you’re looking to get back into the action like I am, Commandos: Origins can be pre-ordered from today, ahead of the game’s official launch on Steam, the Kalypso Store, Epic Games Store, and GOG, where you can get a 10% discount if you do. Furthermore, the Microsoft Store offers a discount of 10% on the Standard Edition and 15% on the Deluxe Edition on Xbox Series X|S, and 10% on both editions on Windows PC.

The new Deluxe Edition comes bundled with six iconic Commando skins from Commandos 2 adapted for Commandos: Origins, a 3D printing template for the Green Beret, a digital Commandos: Origins calendar, and the Commandos: Origins Original Soundtrack with 15 symphonic tracks. Personally, I think it should all be bundled in as part of the remaster celebration, but then again, I just have a general dislike of both pre-orders and their bonuses.

To showcase the games fantastic gameplay, the developers have released an interactive trailer. It features mission 5 ‘Operation Rapture’. Francis T. “the Sniper” Woolridge and James “the Marine” Blackwood who must make different choices to accomplish the mission. Choose your own path! That’s how the game is meant to be played, there’s more than one way to complete your objective.

The inclusion of the Classified Archives DLC offers an in-depth look at the history of Commandos: Origins. This digital lore book, developed in collaboration with BILDNER Verlag, is available on Steam and packed with exclusive intel, tactical dossiers, and behind-the-scenes insights.
