At EVGA’s Computex booth they were showing off four new motherboards of which three were Z87 and one was X79. We will take a look at all of them but in this article we want to take a look at the EVGA Z87 Stinger mini-ITX motherboard. If you’ve checked out the rest of our Computex coverage you will have seen Gigabyte and MSI pushing mini-ITX Z87 motherboards quite strongly and EVGA are not being the exception.
This new motherboard from EVGA obviously uses the mini-ITX form factor and is powered by Intel’s LGA 1150 socket and Z87 chipset. It features a single PCI Express Generation 3.0 X16 slot for a single graphics card. The SATA configuration is four SATA III 6Gbps ports, a single mPCIe connector and a rear eSATA port. There are two full size DIMM slots supporting up to 16GB of DDR3 in dual channel configurations.
EVGA have gone for an extensive I/O with 8 channel HD audio (provided by Creative Sound Core3D), optical audio, HDMI out, display port out, ethernet (Intel Gigabit), four USB 2.0, four USB 3.0, Bluetooth 2.1 and two eSATA ports.
Pricing and availability is still TBA from EVGA.
