In addition to the Primo 81 Android tablet MSI also showed us the Primo 93 tablet at their pre-Computex event. This tablet features a 9.7 inch IPS display with a relatively modest 1024 by 768 resolution. The whole tablet is powered by an Allwinner A31S quad core processor and has 1GB of DDR RAM and 16GB of storage. It uses a 6800 mAH battery and supports 3G and GPS functions.
MSI’s operating system of choice is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Primo 93 has a front facing camera and a 2MP rear facing camera than can record 720p video. Expansion includes MicroSD cards and there is a MicroUSB port and Micro-HDMI port plus a 3.5 mm audio jack. 3G is supported by the provided SIM card slot.
MSI did not announce pricing or availability for us but we expect this to be quite a budget orientated tablet given the relatively low display resolution.
